From a great series of Grant Snider’s Incidental Comics Shape of Ideas (all worth looking at! and buying a poster of!), a rather relevant panel

Out of moments of stillness… arise the most unexpected ideas.

These comics play with the word “idea” and metaphors messages created by the style and lettering of text. The beauty of these particular two panels is the open-ended suggestion of what “un-expected” might mean.

For some, it is “OMG A SHARK!” For others, “YAY, I M SO HAPPY ITS A SHARK!”

And for the shark? Was he/she enjoying a moment of stillness before deciding to nibble what was on the end of the line?
